Losing a Beloved Reverend

On November 3, 1928, the Church of the Epiphany suffered a great loss. Reverend James Boydell passed away at the age of 90. Until his death, he remained a dedicated member of the church, regularly attending Sunday services. In honour of Reverend Boydell's life-long dedication to the church, a commemorative stained-glass window was installed on the East side of the building above the high altar in 1930.

Reverend Boydell was survived by his second wife, Lucy, who continued to be an active member of the church until her death in 1937. Her dedication to the parish was such that she left almost her entire estate of $6,000 to the church to be used for repairs and improvements.
