The areas of Long Lake and Minnow Lake were once nearby settlements with a rich history all their own.  Each community succeeded in creating a welcoming and thriving environment where people could raise their families and contribute in meaningful ways to the development of the town.

Even though these former settlements have been incorporated into the City of Sudbury, they are still recognized as distinct areas within the community, possessing a heritage that will always to be remembered.
